London’s first rocket launch!

London woke up early and we headed to a local practice field for a launch.  The A8-3 first launch went great!  The box says it would go about 200 feet high.  Even with the light wind we picked up all the wadding, put in a new motor, and launched it again!  This time with a slight adjustment to the pad we landed within 10 feet of the pad.  Success!  The third launch we used a B6-4.  The literature said it would go about 450 feet high (see launch video below).  We adjusted for windage and London hit the launch button.  This time it landed about 400 feet away without incident.  We had a great time and London brought her first rocket successfully back to the house.  Her Estes – Falcon 9 gets here later in the week.
